Step 2: Evaluate Your Tech Options

If you’re a solo producer with a limited budget, your needs will be different from an agency with downline agents and a complex tech stack. There is a good solution for every agent’s needs.

Option 1: Simply Enroll (Sunfire)

If you are partnered with The Brokerage Inc. or you’re partnered with an upline that provides access to Sunfire, a call recording option has been added in time for the 2023 AEP.

Features include: 

  • Inbound and outbound calling
  • Individual agent telephone numbers
  • Recording functionality
  • Various options for storage of recordings
  • Recordings linked to enrollment for easy accessibility
  • Integrated agent prompts for required disclosures

Option 2: Industry-Specific Software

Maybe you don’t want all your eggs in one basket or you’re an agency that has more complex needs beyond call recording, such as text automation, CRM integrations, etc. You might be interested in Intulse

With Intulse, you can make phone calls, send text messages, and host meetings from your favorite devices.

Features such as call and text messaging logging and call recording help keep your agency compliant. While other features such as CRM (AgencyBloc, Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.) integrations save your time.

Note: Intulse is not free. If you’re looking for something free and simple, you should probably stick with Option 1.

Option 3: Build Your Own Solution

This is the riskiest and least-recommended option. You’ll need to ensure that your solution meets HIPAA standards when storing your recordings.

Some agents already use a phone system with recording capabilities, such as RingCentral, OpenPhone, Zoom, Google Voice, etc. 

Many of these phone systems can be integrated with Zapier and your favorite CRM or cloud storage service (like Dropbox or Google Drive).

If you’re really old school, you could always just put your phone on speakerphone and pull out a good ole tape recorder. 🙂

But we wouldn’t recommend that…
